A story of Joy and Sorrow
One mother was left with two fatherless daughters. Her sister lends her a hand. But with an unexpected turn of events mother’s mental condition results in leaving the two girls in a probation home for children’. The girls lived happily in the home and studied hard. The older girl completed her studies and found employment in the institution that ran the home. The younger girl remained in the home studying hard and showcasing her skills through co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. While studying for her Advanced Level she was deeply saddened by her mother’s death. But she did not give up her studies. She sat for the Advanced Level examination and left the home. She was seeking a job.
It was at this juncture that she was summoned by her children’s home. She was sent to the head-quarters. There was a work shop on that day. The Buddhist priest who conducted it spoke of working with children showing them love and care. She decided to work for the institution which gave her shelter. Now she is waiting anxiously for that day when she will start working.
