Sarvodaya Suwasetha maintains four daycare centers as given below, for mentally retarded children as they are not able to be given an education along with the rest of the children; but can be trained to be useful citizens. The objective of the services offered at these centres is to train these children in such a way that they would be able to live well among the rest of the community with mutual respect. To achieve this, basic training is provided at these centres.

Sarvodaya Netherlands provides funding and support for the running of Ariyawansa Weerakkody Memorial Daycare Centre, Warakagoda and Ananda Grero Memorial Daycare Centre, Thalpawila
Activities conducted at these homes include;
- Physiotherapy,
- speech therapy,
- physical exercises,
- activities with water and sand,
- dancing and music and training in swimming
- Play acting, singing, daily activities, awareness creation
- Vocational training aimed at livelihood, making of doormats out of cloth, painting
- Trained to cope with daily routine, sports, home gardening
