A World Day of Prayer and Action for Children commenced to celebrate Universal Children’s Day and the anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Children on 14th Nov 2009.
Sarvodaya Suwasetha Sewa Society is a NGO works for the wellbeing of the abandon and destitute children. Sarvodaya Suwasetha Street Children Project presented the theme song and the children of the Sarvodaya Suwasetha Ratnayaka Memorial Resource Centre, Akuressa presented a “Jathaka Kathawa” which depicts how Rev. Ananda Thero brightens / blissful the lives of two abandon children.
