This property donated by late Justice Ananda Grero has been turned into a facility that provides many services for needy. The daycare centre for intellectually impaired children and the home for disabled women implemented to set a favorable background to gain their rights to integrate them to the society.

08th Aug 2005, a daycare centre for special needy children was started to fulfill a great need in that area. We started the centre with 08 children and today 18 beneficiaries enjoying this service. Many have requested to enroll to this day care centre we have to limit it due to our limited resources. Sarvodaya Netherlands understood this situation and financially assisted us to construct a new building for the daycare centre enabling us to expand number of beneficiaries.

A child with special need lighted the oil lamp at the auspicious time on 23rd Oct 2009 to commence a new building estimated for 01 million be completed within 03 months. The parents of the beneficiaries, inmates of the Thalpawila Disabled Women’s Home and the neighbours joined this occasion with great enthusiasm.
