Priyanka's Story Back
 

Priyanka was abandoned by her father when she was a little baby and her mother couldn’t take it anymore, so she committed suicide. It was then, that her grand mother, who volunteered to bring up Priyanka till she was 15 years old.

Due to the many pressures at home she was unable to live with her grand mother, she was eventually handed over to the Sarvodaya Suwasetha home in Bataganvila in the year 2002

 
 

Anusha was well looked after by the now retired matron Ms Wimala at Abigail House in Bataganvila. She sat for the G.C.E. Ordinary Level and Advanced Level Examinations by attending the reputed Sangamiththa Balika Maha Vidyalaya. Thereafter she joined Sarvodaya Suwasetha head office and worked in the Finance Department as an Accounts Assistant.

She met Sampath when she was in school and her love for him blossomed to something more serious when he asked her to marry him on the 15th January this year. Mrs Neetha Ariyaratne Hon. Secretary of Sarvodaya Suwasetha who always looked into Priyanka’s well being and gave her blessing to Sampath to marry her, a simple and beautiful wedding ceremony was held in the work place in Moratuwa.

Priyanaka and Sampath now live happily in Bandarawela as Sampath has secured a job in a well-reputed Bank
