Ma-Sevana presently has residential care facilities for 22 young sexually abused girls fallen pray to their near and dear ones. To improve their facilities in their education a new building was constructed with the help of the “Sarvodaya Netherlands” and equipped with the kind sponsorship of Nona Foundation Netherlands was declared opened in June 2006 by His Excellency Netherlands Ambassador Mr. Vandijk. This facility will provide ample room for computer education and conduct classes in their non formal education. |

RATMALANA
Ratmalana Day Care Centre for mentally retarded children was opened in the newly constructed building constructed by the Udapadi Trust. Arrangements are being made to start Residential Care facilities for Autistic children in the same newly constructed building towards the end of this year.

UPGRADING
Upgrading of children homes to provide additional facilities for about 100 children in Bataganwila, Baddegama, Balapitiya is in progress. The Kosgama building has already been completed and declared opened in October 2006 with the participation of the officials of PricewaterhouseCoopers who is the main founder of this project.

One of the teenage mothers from Masevena who is over 18 years of age was resettled in a newly built home on a land gifted by the Government with a Bakery unit for her to make a living.
